WHSO-GH was founded in 2008 with the objective of helping businesses and industries increase ther productivity and secure a safe environment for workers. Reducing injury and hazards in the workplace is therefore WHSO’s primary goal. Advocacy, training and the supply of quality health and safety equipment are the three pillars of WHSO’s holistic approach to meeting safety needs.
Employers in Ghana are required by the Ghana Labour Act 2003, Act 651 to ensure employees are not exposed to work conditions that could lead to work-related injuries or illnesses. With UK-based courses becoming increasingly recognise in Ghana, WHSO are now working In partnership with RRC to help promote NEBOSH and IOSH standards and make these qualifications more accessible to the local market.
