Richard joined RRC in 2013 as Head of Digital Strategy, and became Managing Director in 2020. Prior to 2013, Richard had a varied career starting as Biochemist and Structural Biologist after graduating from Imperial College London but always with a keen interest in the associated technology. From 1999 he ran his own consultancy as full stack developer and increasingly focused on learning technologies which led him to RRC.
Andrew has been with RRC since 2014 and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA). Prior to 2014, Andrew worked in the fields of Engineering, Design and Display. As Director of Finance, Andrew’s focus is to provide all financial reporting and support to the wider business, ensuring all regulations and reporting requirements are adhered to.
Working with RRC since late 2016, Nick leads innovation and development of learning products, platforms, and services. He's implemented key innovations alongside Richard and oversees the training portfolio and bespoke development, supported by his incredible team. Nick boasts 23 years of experience in the learning industry, collaborating with corporations, educational institutions, professional bodies, the NHS, and charities.
After graduating in English and European Laws at the University of Essex, Vicky joined RRC in 1997 as a member of the Product Development team, before becoming a Director in 2004. Since 2014, Vicky has had responsibility for compliance, providing guidance to the management team to ensure we are effectively complying with our legal responsibilities.
Karen is a qualified safety professional holding over 35 years experience in retail. Over the years, she specialised in policy, training, project management and health and safety. As Group Health and Safety Culture Manager at Tesco, she focused on understanding and influencing safety decisions. Karen joined RRC as a non-executive Director in 2024, providing her expertise and corporate insight.
Nick joined the RRC team in 2017, following over a decade working for some of the largest retailers globally. He now heads up the Corporate sales sector at RRC. Nick also looks after our Customer Services and Exams teams bringing his vast knowledge and experience to the role. His focus includes improving the service and support within RRC.
Ellen joined RRC in 2021 and has been integral in leading the marketing function of the business. She brings nearly a decade of experience in marketing and is passionate about developing RRC’s marketing strategy with a strong focus on customer experience throughout their RRC journey.
Our teams make RRC run smoothly. Our team members are all passionate about what they do and work together to ensure our learners receive the best service and chance of success in their assessments.
Making sure our customers choose the right course for them is the essential starting point for their success. Our Customer Advisory Team provide friendly, honest, detailed advice, guidance and support for all of those contacting RRC, advising on their choice of course and the learning methods most suitable for them. The team ensure all enquiries are responded to as quickly as possible and all orders are processed on the day they are received.
Looking after our customers is essential to ensure they get the best out of their studies with RRC. Our Customer Care Team manages over 100 classroom courses a year and hundreds of customers at any one time. They respond to all customer requests and queries, manage classroom courses, visit venues, and print and dispatch materials. Their aim is to help our students successfully complete their studies and enjoy their experience with RRC.
Our Examinations Team administer around 500 e-learning, remote and in-person sets of assessments each year, arranging exam sittings for over 1,000 people every month across our awarding bodies. With expert knowledge of the complex processes and deadlines, the team liaise with students, awarding bodies and tutors to facilitate the logistics of our assessments so that students are able to focus on their studies.
Our Corporate Team look after the specific needs of our corporate clients throughout the world. They manage key client expectations ensuring everything comes together faultlessly. This starts with developing quotes to meet our clients needs, followed by organising training in the time and place agreed and ensuring it is delivered to the standard expected. Any issues, the Corporate Team are there to help find a solution.
Our International Development Team manage and support RRC’s International Offices and vast Partner network. The team ensure effective knowledge share and consistency of customer services throughout RRC’s offices.
Our Course Management team looks after the RRC tutor team, ensuring the tutors are approved by the relevant awarding bodies, understand the high standards we expect of them, and are in the right place at the right time.
This team is tasked with maintaining around 135 distinct courses, 45 separate sets of course materials (in 7 different languages), 2 Law Guides and more than 50 revision and reference publications. All materials then need to be reviewed and updated every 3-6 months. They also develop newsletters and technical updates, as well as developing all of our new courses and student resources.
Our Marketing team ensure our customers have clear information on our products and services, ensuring they get the right information at the right time. They manage and maintain RRC's website and social media presence, as well as organising RRC's events calendar at a range of conferences, exhibitions and events both off and online. They also support the other teams in gathering and sharing customer feedback to ensure our continual improvement.
Our IT Team maintain and develop the crucial internal systems that manage all our training activities, websites and e-learning systems. It is essential that they make sure the IT works and assist others within the organisation to improve their skills.
Along with the bookkeeping, reporting and legal compliance, they support all RRC teams to ensure we deliver good value to our customers and shareholders, including ensuring smooth payment processes for our customers.
At RRC we are not solely interested in teaching to pass tests. We also aim to provide the deeper knowledge and understanding required to work better and more safely.
Our team trains and supports thousands of students each year, with over 98% rating their experience with our trainer team as 'good' or 'excellent'. The happy by-product is our above-average exam pass rates.
