ISO 50001 is the world’s most recognised environmental management system standard and helps businesses of all types and sizes make their day to day operations more sustainable. The standard provides guidance on how to consider multiple aspects of your business procurement, storage, distribution, product development and manufacturing so that it reduces its impact on the environment.
For both Implementer and Auditor pathways, you must complete the ISO 50001 Requirements course. This course offers a comprehensive introduction to environmental management system standards, designed for anyone planning, implementing, maintaining, supervising or auditing an ISO 14001:2015 environmental management system (EMS). You will learn how an EMS can save an organisation money, reduce waste and win customer confidence.

This one-day course introduces learners to the fundamentals of practical auditing using the ISO 19011:2018 standard. The course will allow you to optimise your auditing skills to help you boost capabilities, gain confidence in planning and performing an effective audit (both internal and external), as well as reporting and taking corrective action where necessary.

Upon completing the course you will be issued with a BSI Training Academy certificate.
You’ll grasp the key principles and practices of effective EnMS audits in accordance with ISO 50001 and ISO 19011 “Guidelines for auditing management systems”. Using a step-by-step approach, you’ll be guided through the entire internal audit process from initiation to follow-up.
Learn the essential knowledge and skills an internal auditor needs, which include the meanings and intention of certification criteria and associated theories, methodologies, techniques, or tools.

Learn the essential knowledge and skills required to be a lead auditor, in order to effectively manage and perform first, second, and third-party audits of Energy Management System (EnMS) against ISO 50001, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO/IEC 17021, as applicable.
